An independent city on the central plains of Hagia, governed under charter and in fellowship with the New Church of Jonas Falx.
The Independent City of Temporis governs itself under charter while remaining in fellowship with the New Church of Jonas Falx. Founded on Day 1 of Year 0, the city has since built its own institutions of record keeping, registry, public works, and defense, administered by the offices described throughout this portal.
Most residents of Temporis are Seraphs. The city calls on the Forlorn Hope, its knightly order, for defense in matters both routine and dire, from gate duty and patrols to the protection of expeditions and restricted archives.
Temporis has declared its independence from the Conclave of Hagia, a political union of several other settlements on the continent. The city seeks neither to rule its neighbors nor to be ruled by them, and remains open to trade, diplomacy, and alliances built on mutual respect between equals. Public notices concerning this stance are issued from time to time by the Office of the City Archivist.
The city's charter is held in fellowship with the New Church of Jonas Falx. This relationship shapes much of civic life in Temporis, including the Church's teaching on knowledge, which guides how the Office of the City Archivist preserves and restricts certain records. The Faith is described in more detail on the Faith of Jonas Falx page.
The Cathedral is among the city's most notable features and is currently undergoing reconstruction, guided by findings from ongoing archaeological surveys of the original structure. Read more on the Cathedral page.
